We were recently honored by D'Angelico Guitars and Headcount.org to be asked to print the custom pickguards for Luke Bryan's Crash My Playa Tour auction.
Auction guitars from D'Angelico and Headcount.org have raised a lot of money for charity. Since the first Dead & Company tour in 2015, HeadCount's auctions have raised over $1.3 million for the band's favorite charities.
A pickguard is the piece of plastic or acrylic that is used to protect the guitar finish from constant pick strumming.
The custom pickguards are to be auctioned-off at each of the dates on the tour January 19-22, 2022 in Riviera Cancun, Mexico.
Also featured on the tour are Jason Aldean and Dustin Lynch.
Headcount.org sent us the design and we printed the pickguards using our uv printing capabilities.
In the past, they used vinyl on the pickguards which came off easily and didn't have a professional finish. Our custom pickguards uv printing blew the executives away when they saw it. UV printing is both durable and vivid in color.
What is uv printing? The pickguards are printed with an uv coating that will not fade or peel away under any condition because it is cured with a uv light.
